St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic School is part of a growing network of schools across the country — public, charter, and private — that uses the Core Knowledge curriculum and are finding great success as measured both by standardized tests and by the students’ enjoyment of learning.
The curriculum in place at SEASCS is the Core Knowledge Sequence. Courses offered include: Religion (Catechesis of the Good Shepherd, K-5 and Christ Our Life 6-8), Sadlier (Math K-5), Social Studies, Science, Language Arts, Literature, Reading (Amplify Learning, K-5; Collections,
6-8; and Core Knowledge Cannon of Novels, 4-8), Music, Technology, Art, Spanish, and Physical Education (SPARK-PE).
Testing is administered during the school year utilizing the TerraNova Common Core State Standards Edition (national assessment), ECRA Writing Assessments (Common Core State Standards Edition), and the National Spanish Examination (grades 7-8).
